YouTube art videos often focus on creating a specific project.  Our Master Classes are designed to expand your child's painting skills in all settings, not just with the projects in this course. 

The Master Classes also come with a variety of helpful printables and parent guides unique to our course.  Workbooks to help your child follow along, tips and tricks for you, certificates to hang on the fridge, and fun bonus materials too!

And the best part?  It's all in your Kids Art Spot portal, with no scrolling or searching necessary. 

The Master Classes were designed with kids aged 6-12 in mind. 

We believe it's important to wait until your kids are developmentally ready to start teaching skills like the ones in this course. If you have a younger child, we recommend sticking with the activities in your Kids Art Spot portal for a greater focus on process art and developing creativity.  

Of course, kids older than 12 can (and do!) enjoy the lessons in our Master Classes.  In fact, you may find yourself wanting to follow along as well!

You can all use the family’s course together! Your family only needs to purchase one master class, regardless of how many kids use the courses.

The short answer: It depends!

Our lessons are set up so that a school-aged child could do them fairly independently. Giving kids a little bit of freedom in their creativity allows them to build confidence and problem-solving skills. 

You may also choose to use The Watercolor Workshop as a way to creatively connect with your kids and work together as a family.

Younger kids (especially if they're not yet strong readers) will have the most success with some grownup support.  

Each module comes with a recommended supplies list which includes our suggestions for painting tools.

But there's no need to buy any fancy supplies to complete this course! 

As long as your child has access to a basic watercolor palette and brush  (plus a few household items you're sure to have in the pantry) they can complete all the lessons.
